Kevin O’Brien is a vice president with Sit Fixed Income and is responsible for the trading and analysis of fixed income securities for the firm.  Kevin joined the firm’s fixed income team in 2008 as a municipal bond trader.  He began his career with the firm in 1997 and served in the client administration department for three years before joining the firm’s equity research team in 2000.  His work in equities included trading domestic and international securities while also performing quantitative research.

Kevin earned a master’s degree in strategic studies from the U.S. Army War College in 2020 and a master’s degree in management from the University of Maryland University College in 2015.  He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and business administration, with a concentration in financial management, from the University of St. Thomas in 1997.  Kevin is a CFA charter holder.
